(外媒）伊朗铁矿石产量提高9个百分点

   概述： 伊朗官方表示在本财年的前三个月内，全国铁矿石产量达到755万吨，同比增长8.7%。报道称，去年同期的产量为694.5万吨. 同时，未加工的钢以及煤炭产量同比分别增长7.5%和3.2%。

    Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization announced that the country's iron ore production in the first three months of the current Iranian year exceeded 7,550,000 tonnes showing a 8.7% growth compared with the same period last year.

    The report said that the volume was 6,945,000 tonnes last year. Unprocessed steel and coal production showed increases of 7.5% and 3.2% in the said period. Iran ranks third in Asia and 11th in the world in terms of iron reserves.

    Iran is among the 15 major mineral rich countries and exports its industrial and mineral products to 159 countries including Iraq, China, the United Arab Emirates, India and Afghanistan.

    Mr Mahmoud Ahmadinejad president of Iran said that Iran has discovered huge reserves of high quality Iron ore in the country's Central Lut desert.

    Mr Ahmadinejad said that Iron reserves in the Lut desert have the purity level of 95%. As regards the details of the newly discovered reserves just in one case of these mineral discoveries, 50 billion tonnes of iron reserves have recently been discovered.
