外媒：力拓表示钢材价格将随着铁矿石价格一同上涨

    Rio Tinto says steel, iron ore prices improving

    Aug 5 (Reuters) - Global miner Rio Tinto (RIO.AX) said on Thursday steel prices were improving and that was feeding through to stronger prices for iron ore.

    Chief Executive Tom Albanese made the comments during a media call after Rio (RIO.L) earlier reported a record first-half profit, more than double a year earlier as metals prices recovered and its mines ran close to full throttle supplying China.

    Rio’s underlying earnings before one-offs for January-June rose to $5.8 billion from $2.6 billion a year earlier, beating analysts’ forecasts of $5.5 billion.
